Producing Experience
I’ve worked as a producer at KXXV for several years — primarily on our midday and 5 P.M. shows, both live and prerecorded with live elements. During my time in Waco, I’ve produced breaking news incidents, severe weather days, and other (slightly less stressful) live events.
Examples of some of the shows I’ve produced are below.
Dallas ICE Facility Shooting
In late September 2025, a gunman opened fire at an ICE facility in Dallas, shooting three people before turning the gun on himself. Our newsroom found out about the incident and quickly sent a team out to the scene — allowing us to get the most up to date info on air as the situation developed.
Here you can see those live hits and breaking news showcasing from that day. My full show from midday can be found below.
Please note: our graphics system was experiencing some technical difficulties during the 5 P.M. lives.
Building It Big
One of the most important parts of producing, one that I take pride in, is building up our biggest stories of the day through breakouts and showcasing elements. Seen here are a few of my A blocks with various producer-built elements to really make those big stories feel as big as possible.
Central Texas Flood Coverage
The July 2025 floods were not too far from our counties — over the course of the next few weeks, we had our reporters and meteorologists talk about the impact it had on our communities. This was the first show I produced after the floods.
One of our biggest priorities at KXXV is showcasing community impact, and as a producer, I enjoy showing the ‘why’ of it all — why we’re covering it, why you should care, and why it matters.
In Your Neighborhood
Our station sponsors the annual Czech festival WestFest — we held special interviews with festival organizers, had live weather in the field, and of course taste-tested some goodies in studio.
KXXV takes part in the annual Waco Independent Film Festival, so we had the opportunity to host our shows right on the red carpet! Here are some of our live interviews — the full show can be found below.
This block from midday includes a live hit talking about the importance of the annual Feed the Need initiative, as well as some fun Fourth of July conversation before weather.

Below you can find some examples of full shows I’ve produced, from full hours at midday and 6 P.M., to half hours at 5 P.M. and 10 P.M.
